THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly-skilled and driven Front-End Engineer to join our agile team and deliver an exceptional UI to our clients. Moonstar is a mobile-first, extensible platform, built using the latest front-end technologies such as React and Ionic.

You will work hand-in-hand with our Product Manager, Product Designer and Head of Engineering to design and refine our platform front-end. This is a hands-on role where you will be spending the majority of your time coding. We are looking for a person with a keen eye for design and extensive experience in mobile-first development. Your role will be very important in helping us capture users’ attention and building platform hooks to keep users engaged.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Expertise in Javascript and Typescript and deep understanding of language features and nuances
• 5+ years of experience designing scalable and performant applications in Azure (Azure certificates are welcome and recommended for this position)
• Front-End experience with React 17, Functional Components, SASS, Mobx and Web-components
• Ionic and React or React Native experience
• Experience with Tanstack Query/React Query and web sockets
• UI/UX knowledge will be a big plus
• Experience writing acceptance tests using Cypress
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
• Appreciation for clean code
• Advanced fluency in English, with good writing and speaking skills
• Proactive, always on the lookout for developing ideas for new features by monitoring industry trends and staying well-informed about the current developments in the world of web development
• Willingness to listen to user feedback and go the extra mile so that the users will have the most engaging experience on the platform
• Resilient, with an understanding that building a startup requires flexibility, ability to perform well under pressure and a profound sense of ownership
• Highly autonomous attitude, you don’t expect or like micro-management
