We are looking for an exceptional individual to join as our Head of Engineering to lead and expand our tech team of three developers, take ownership of the engineering roadmap and vision of our company.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a full-time, highly-driven Head of Engineering to head up our engagement and retention platform development and beyond. As the Head of Engineering, you will lead and mentor our team of engineers to deliver impactful engagement features, advise on technology selection, architecture, long-term technology strategy, but also spend time hands-on developing the platform.
You will work hand in hand with our Product Manager and Product Designer to craft the product roadmap, define and prioritize requirements and advocate for agile software development practices from conception to deployment.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Lead the engineering strategy and build the roadmap of deliverables. You will balance short- and long-term needs and provide technical leadership and strategic direction to our team.
- Own the solution architecture. You will lead the development of our engagement and retention platform, with a focus on quality control and code optimization. You will champion and influence software engineering best practices and help ensure these are followed across the company.
- Grow a high performing engineering team. You will be responsible for building an effective team that can deliver results consistently. You’ll help them balance a high-impact ship-and-iterate approach whilst ensuring our systems are robust, reliable and compliant.
- Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders. You will be an integral part of our senior team, and help shape the culture and working practices of our Product Development team alongside our Product Manager.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 7+ years of experience in .NET, asynchronous development using Clean Architecture, Domain-driven design
- 5+ years of experience designing scalable and performant applications in Azure
- 2+ years of experience building & leading engineering teams
- Experience in designing and developing modern queue-based systems using Azure services like Azure Service Bus, Azure Queue Storages, etc.
- Knowledge of different database paradigms, including SQL, no-SQL and Graph databases
- Experience building GraphQL & GRPC API
- Experience in implementing automated tests and an appreciation for clean code

- Prior role within a B2B SaaS environment and/or HR Tech
- Previous entrepreneurial experience and / or scale-up
- Strong interest in developing software that helps employees making them more engaged and more productive
