Moonstar is an integrated mobile platform that brings together the main functionalities to engage and retain remote and deskless staff, namely, company communication & collaboration, onboarding & learning, recognition and rewards.

Employee retention and engagement were our CEO’s challenges in managing two large companies in hospitality with close to 2,000 employees, dispersed on the ground. We started small, testing all our ideas in house – from better onboarding programs, to manager coaching trainings, to how communication should be done to engage employees and increase productivity. Our in-house efforts quickly turned into a fully-fledged start-up with clients across North America and Europe.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and creative Talent Development & Communications Manager to help our clients connect the dots between impactful micro-modular learning solutions and internal communications campaigns focused on employee engagement and development. You must be comfortable delivering live trainings to our clients’ employees and setting up internal communication strategies, while juggling multiple client projects. The ideal candidate will possess a hybrid experience of talent development and internal communications management to execute all related campaigns together with our clients’ stakeholders.

You will work closely with our Senior Instructional Designers to learn Moonstar’s methodology for creating micro, social and gamified learning experiences. You will also work directly with our clients to create and deliver bespoke trainings, while continuously testing and refining our platform’s functionalities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assess. Conduct needs assessments to identify clients’ learning, communications and employee engagement needs, underlying employee engagement triggers and gaps to desired levels.
• Set & Own. Set organizational learning and communication goals together with client stakeholders and create an aligned strategy. Proactively take responsibility for associated project risks and challenges.
• Build. Design and develop impactful and engaging learning programmes, training materials, and development pathways. Map out communication campaigns based on client’s needs, and train client stakeholders to implement appropriate communication & engagement hooks for their employees.
• Deliver. Deliver engaging in-class/online training sessions and provide occasional film shoot and animation direction for online learning materials.
• Revise. Continuously monitor the learning and communication programmes and get feedback from all the stakeholders involved to determine their effectiveness and impact on desired skills acquisition. Implement appropriate metrics to get insights into audience, channels and approach to steer future direction.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• BSc and/or MSc in Psychology, Human Resources or a related field
• At least three years of experience within a learning and development or organizational development department
• Proven track record of creating impactful blended learning and communication programmes for a variety of clients
• Extensive understanding of motivational factors within companies, adult learning and effective communication principles
• Insights and creativity into translating learning and communication programmes into digital experiences
• Familiarity with LMSes, LXPs, eLearning platforms and providers
• Ability to work in a variety of authoring tools, such as Articulate, Lectora and Captivate
• Native fluency in English, with highly proficient writing and speaking skills
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels and write in a clear and compelling style
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
• Comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth, constant change and lots of unknowns.
• Resilient, with an understanding that building a start-up requires flexibility and a profound sense of ownership
• Hustler. If something needs to happen, you’ll make sure to get it done somehow
• Highly autonomous attitude. You don’t expect or like micro-management
